Victories over Cincinnati and Baylor would give WVU an 8-4 record, which would nearly double the projected wins by oddsmakers. However, wins over the Bearcats and Bears are not guaranteed.
Big 12 newcomer Cincinnati arrives in Morgantown with the second best rushing attack in the conference. Their victory over Houston last week gave them their first Big 12 win and a much-needed boost of confidence.
The Mountaineers may be without leading rusher CJ Donaldson and starting right tackle Doug Nester. WVU is favored, but a slip-up would stain the season.
