Tune in to WAM updates from DJ intern#9 I wrote and recorded this audio update to go along with one of the Women's Audio Mission's weekly internal bulletins. I wrote this disc jockey version because WAM is a music production org, and I wanted to increase interest in the bulletins and put a smile on people's faces. To make this piece I mixed my voice recording with music from a free music archive, as well as an H4n recording I made of my radio while tuning through the stations. Here is the text version of the bulletin that was shared along with the audio: February 18, 2022 Fab news - our new Director of Education, Christina Ayala, started this week! The team is so excited to have her positive energy and expertise on board - welcome Christina! Development submitted proposals for XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX this week. We are tentatively planning our next virtual WAMCon for April 29 & 30 - save the date! Staff have been participating in performance reviews this week - a great opportunity to reflect on our wins from last year and goals for the future! Marta and Nancy did a Demo Day at James Lick Middle School this week and students were excited and showed interest! Interns also began helping with GOTM classes and they've been such a great help. Studio producer Spoke, founder of Slomo Studio in Berlin, joined our Lead Engineer, Mary Ann, for a virtual vocal recording and production consultation this week. Mary Ann also worked on The Slave Is Gone podcast episode 3 part 2 recording this week.
