Grief is one of those things you don’t just “get through” until one day, it isn’t the very first thing you feel upon waking. Maybe it’s the second, or the third…to this day I still carry their memories daily but that grief has been transformed into a different kind of relationship: the one I have with myself, which has changed how I am in relationships with all others in my world.
