Episode 9!! Season is almost over!!
Please welcome my good friend, Doug Weisskopf.
Doug is a friend that I just made a few months ago, thru out daughters friendships. When speaking to him, and listening to his story… my goodness… was good using him.
He had no idea I’m going thru a divorce, yet his story was giving me hope, breathing room.
Not only was Doug open and shared but when his vulnerability allowed me to feel heard, understood and a moment of peace!
I didn’t know anyone could understand, I thought I was alone, fighting off depression and evil thoughts. He keeper talking, sharing and I stayed listening… so much that I had to bring him on the podcast! I needed to share his story to other men and women. It’s okay to not be okay, it’s okay to feel defeated/ destroyed. What’s not okay is to stay there. Doug shared the importance of healing himself first so that all areas around him can improve.
Doug share feeling unloved, not having his parents show up for him at special events, creating an inner child trauma, hurt that affected his marriage and fatherhood. Never the less, didn’t just use this as an excuse, he DID something about it! Took matters into his own hands, developed himself, read a lot of books, healed inner child and present trauma… and is living his best life.
