There are thousands of studies that have shown mindfulness meditation can positively impact mental and physical health. Meditation is a mind-body practice that offers many health benefits that include relief from stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, to name a few.
We all know we would benefit from meditation. How can we make it a habit?
- How to do it daily?
- Commit to just a few minutes to start at day. Start simply.
- Pick a time and trigger.
- Don’t stress if your mind wonders, bring it back.
- Meditation is like training a muscle.
- Training yourself to focus.
- So long as you find new ways to come back to meditation.
- Explore the process of habit formation.
- Make a plan, what makes it stick.
- Set implementation intention.
- Create a system.
- Every time you practice you will be forming a new habit.
- See the benefit of meditation and see it as “mental Flossing.”
- Accountability partner.
- 30 day challenge.
