#10 - Jenny Bindon & The Olympic Family

Today I welcome a past colleague of mine Jenny Bindon to the show.

Jenny is an incredible guest to have on the pod, as she is what I refer to as a “triple threat” meaning she can speak from all three perspectives (being an Athlete, a Coach and a Parent) with great authority.

Jenny has represented NZ 77 times including at 2 Olympic Games and 2 FIFA Womens World Cups, before moving into coaching, where she acted as a head coach, assistant coach and a GK coach whilst in NZ, before working in the US College system with the UCLA Bruins and Loyola Marymount, before moving to England where she is currently with Readings boys academy.

Jenny is also the mum to Tyler, who at 19 has already represented US Soccer at youth level, NZ at senior level and is a regular in the Reading first team playing in the UK League 1.
Tyler is following in his mums footsteps and in currently competing at Paris 2024.
