Head of the WAFarmers grains council says the Federal Government has forgotten about Western Australia and is paying lip service to its concerns about the shortage of workers to help get the crop off this season. Mic Fels says the entire Australian economy is screaming for access to some skilled foreign workers and the fact it's falling on deaf ears is incredibly frustrating. A proposal to quarantine about 1, 000 skilled machinery operators from the northern hemisphere on Christmas Island is still sitting with the Federal Government, and Mic Fels says that's not good enough.
