Manage episode 311156680 series 3085558
On the 113th episode of the Seattle Foodie Podcast, we chat with Joey and Karma Lee, owners of Bobae in Woodinville. Bobae just recently celebrated their 1-year birthday in September and they are known for their unique boba and drinks series like the Nitro series. Bobae prides themselves in using all natural ingredients, no additives, and everything is made in house. Frequent customers love their monthly specials like their Pumpkin series in October and the Golden Memory, sweet corn milk drink, in November. Listen in as Joey and Karma tell us how Bobae got started and the process of creating all their original beverages.
In addition, Monica and Nelson recap a week, which included lunch at Wild Ginger McKenzie in South Lake Union. Currently, all Wild Ginger locations are offering 50% off for bottles of wine when you dine in and they are also participating in Seattle Restaurant Week. They also got a delivery from McDonald's to help premier the new sweet bakery items added to their current Breakfast menu.
As for what they ate this week, Nelson got takeout from Musashi's for his Election Day meal, sampled the superfood granola, Forij, had beers at the Queen Anne Beer Hall, grabbed lunch from Dumpling the Noodle in Wallingford, and finished the week off picking up Tres Leches cake from the @feedthepudge x @tres_lecheria Pop-Up with Monica and friends.
Meanwhile, Monica ordered jars of Sticky Sweets and Treats, stopped by for a 2nd lunch at Agua Verde Cafe, and experimented with some holiday recipes, using Ellenos Greek Yogurt and Just Date Syrup.
