The therapeutic landscape of bladder cancer has undergone a significant transformation with the addition of immune checkpoint inhibitors to the treatment armamentarium. In addition, the research on actionable targets has led to regulatory approval of the FGFR-targeted therapy, erdafitinib, for FGFR mutation–positive bladder tumors, as well as the antibody–drug conjugates enfortumab vedotin and sacituzumab govitecan. Further, novel bladder preservation opportunities and important combination approaches expand the therapeutic capacity across the disease spectrum available to patients with bladder cancer. In this PeerView activity, a panel of leading bladder cancer experts pairs important analyses of the latest evidence on a new generation of therapeutics with practical insights that can be used to guide therapeutic decision-making in the clinic. This CME/MOC-certified activity will highlight strategies for optimal care of patients with bladder cancer in light of current evidence on and indications for the use of immune, targeted, and antibody-based therapies and guidance on safely integrating these agents into treatment plans.
