Vertigo mainstay Milligan has two new SF graphic novels. Absolution is a fantastic and exciting take on our obsession with violence, social media, and (in this case literal) cancel culture, using the Catholic notion of absolution as a potent metaphor. Sacrament is more overtly theological (with a major emphasis on demon possession and exorcism) and explores the persistence of Christianity in humanity's post-Earth future. Both have solid artwork from Milligan's prior collaborators.
