"Israel's a self-starting civil society, which takes so much on itself", so says Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, who talks about her city's response to the 250,000 displaced Israelis who've left their homes in the south.

But there is a determination across the whole nation for them to return home and rebuild their lives and communities after the terrible pogrom of October 7th.
