In one of the most highly anticipated clashes in Sanford Stadium history, Georgia beat South Carolina 13-10 in a nationally televised showdown of highly ranked teams with iconic tailbacks - Herschel Walker and George Rogers. It was a hard-hitting, physical affair, and when the dust had settled on the first of November, 1980, the Bulldogs were ranked No. 2 in the nation.
