Sam Sunderland takes his second Dakar Rally victory with a consistent performance during the 2022 Saudi Arabian event. The Gas Gas Factory racing pilot held a consistent top position throughout the trecherous event, never falling into the myriad of time traps or errors that caught most competitors off their game.

Pablo Quintanilla on the Monster Energy Honda raced hard in the final to secure second position, a great finish for the Chilean on his new team.

Red Bull KTM's Matthias Walkner pushed in the final days to reach the overall podium in third,

The time gap between the top three is narrow, with less than seven minutes separating the top riders.
