Last week, we started our fall series through the book of James. I am excited to unpack this little Epistle with you! James is a book about putting your faith into practice. James doesn't struggle with application; in fact, this book likely has more in common with the book of Proverbs than other New Testament letters. It's not that James ignores doctrine, but that he earnestly desires that what we know about God impacts how we live for God. James is a pastor, and as we unpack this book, we will see that it is his heart to shepherd us toward godly living. This week, we will unpack how riches can impact how we face trials. It can be easy to think that if I just had more of "X", that my trial would be bearable. James confronts us Wirth the idea that in Christ we have all we need to remain steadfast through trials.
